The 2010 CREATE workshop will be on COMPUTER-TAILORED INTERVENTIONS.

The workshop will be facilitated by Prof. Hein de Vries (Maastricht University). It will take place August 29th-31st in Cluj, Romania.


How to develop computer tailored interventions

The goal of this workshop is to learn and to apply basic principles of computer tailoring. As the theoretical frame work we will use an integration of social cognitive models - such as social learing theory, theory of planned behavior, health belief model – referred to as the Integrated Model of Behavior Change, or the I-Change Model. We will employ a special software package, the Tailored Health Builder. We will work in small groups of 4-5 people and develop and pilot a brief computer tailoring interventions. Specific objectives of the workshop are: 1. to learn the basic principles of setting up a tailoring interventions; 2. to learn the basic principels of developing tailoring algorithms; 3. to develop a small computer tailoring intervention; 4. to pilot and evaluate the computer tailored intervention.
