Editorial Manager Position at The European Health Psychologist
We are looking for an Editorial Manager to join The European Health Psychologist (EHP). In this paid role, you will support the editors-in-chief and associate editors in preparing our issues for publication.
EHP is a high-quality scientific magazine that publishes scientific contributions as well as announcements and information relevant to members of the European Health Psychology Society. We aim to be flexible in the formats we publish, promoting scientific discourse among scholars working in health psychology. All our content is made available through open access, based on the principle that freely accessible research fosters global knowledge exchange.
Responsibilities of the Editorial Manager
The Editorial Manager …
- communicates with authors of accepted manuscripts and supports them in converting their contributions to the EHP template (Google Docs)
- compiles, formats, and prepares all documents for publication, including layout refinement and final design adjustments
- converts materials into PDF using our established R/LaTeX-based script
- circulates the PDF proofs to authors, gathers their comments, and implements corrections
- publishes all issues via our Open Journal System and registers the corresponding DOIs
Requirements
- Experience with Google Docs, R, and LaTeX is mandatory
- Experience with Markdown, Open Journal Systems, and Crossref, or willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and structured working style
- Good communication skills and a collaborative, proactive attitude, with a willingness to co-develop new ideas and workflows with the editorial team
